💡Aha! Moment
There was a time when I planned my work based on what I could handle today. Now, I plan for the business I want to build tomorrow.
That shift changed everything.
Doing it all might work in the short term.
But it’s not sustainable—and it definitely doesn’t scale.
Here’s the mindset shift: Don’t hire help for where you are. Hire for where you're headed.
So I asked myself:
📈 What would I need in place if my business doubled or tripled?
🤝 Who could help me get ready before the overwhelm hit?
That’s when I started working with My Virtually Organized Business.
Four months in, I now have support from an amazing assistant, Cath.
She’s helped me:
- Update my CRM
- Build a new sales funnel
- Manage content
- And soon, she’ll support my hotel sourcing work too
It takes time to learn each other’s rhythm.
But that’s the point—start before you’re buried in admin work.
And this isn’t just a solopreneur thing. It’s a leadership thing.
If you’re leading a team, ask yourself:
🧠 What’s on my plate that someone else could own?
📤 What tasks could grow someone else—and give me space to lead?
Leaders don’t scale by doing more.
They scale by doing the right things—and letting go of the rest.
✨ What was your turning point in learning to let go?
One Thing to Know
🏨 Event Essentials - The Rise of Zero-Proof Pairings: Elevating the Non-Alcoholic Experience. Not everyone drinks—and more people are choosing not to. Offering creative zero-proof options isn’t just thoughtful, it’s modern. These drinks help all guests feel included in toasts, celebrations, and networking moments—without being singled out.
Tip: When meeting with your bar or catering partner, ask:
- “What non-alcoholic options are you excited to serve?”
This opens the door to elevated choices beyond soda and seltzer—and shows you're designing for inclusion, not just tradition.

🏫 Learned - My Calendar Needs to Reflect My Priorities
This week reminded me that good intentions don’t move the needle—your calendar does. I say I want to grow my hotel sourcing business, but when I looked at how I was spending my time, the alignment wasn’t there. It was a helpful nudge to get honest with myself and start blocking focused time for revenue-generating work, not just the “busy stuff.”
✔️ Accomplished - Mammogram Reminder (and a Lesson Learned)
This week, I checked off my annual mammogram—and I’m using it as a friendly reminder to anyone reading this: schedule your preventative health screenings. I had originally booked mine for early July, only to be told at the appointment that I was too early by two days! Turns out, insurance can be that specific.
I get that policies are policies, but here’s the bigger point: these tests matter. We stay on top of meetings, deadlines, and calendar invites… our health deserves that same priority. So if you've been meaning to book yours, let this be your nudge. You’re worth the follow-through.

❓A Question Worth Asking
Every week, I’ll leave you with one question—something I’m asking myself or my clients. Take it into your next team meeting, journaling session, or just a quiet moment.
🟡 This week’s question: Is your calendar aligned with your biggest goal right now—or just your busiest tasks?
